The West Virginia School Counselor Association is soliciting proposals for our annual conference February 26-27, 2026. Sessions will be 60 minute break-outs promoting evidence-based programs in the domains of academic, college and career readiness, and social/emotional development highlighting the latest techniques and practices in school counseling. Presentations need to showcase proven programs, current research, or skills of value to school counselors, district personnel, graduate students, or school counselor educators.
- Proposals of a political, marketing, or for-profit nature will not be accepted. (Please see our Sponsor/Exhibitor Information Page for information on a sponsored breakout session and other promotional opportunities).
- Presenters may be asked to present their sessions twice.
- A current resume or CV must accompany the session proposal as required by the WV Board of Examiners in Counseling.
- There is a limit of two presenters per session on the Call for Proposals form. These two presenters will be eligible for the discounted presenter rate. You may add additional presenters upon session acceptance, however, please note the additional presenters will not be entitled to the discounted registration rate.
- A slide deck template will be provided to selected presenters.
- Presenters selected will be responsible for bringing their slide deck on their own device.
